A Biblical Bible Timeline Poster Offers A Creative Representation To Aid And Help Teach Biblical Characters And Events And Truths

In our weekly Bible study years ago, a friend who had been a Christian and laboured in the Church for years, said,"Yes, but Abraham had the Law and so he understood about......" (they weren't talking about the pre-Moses law) I wonder how many Christians will really pick up the error in this statement. Moses existed about five hundred years after Abraham and so it is not possible. I have since put together a Bible timeline and explained graphically the dating of individuals and events.

Years ago, I was speaking on the resurrection, death, life and burial of Jesus Christ, and a retired minister and powerful preacher of Scripture, who had been a pastor for 40 years, came up and reproved me smartly over some fascinating points I made and he said 1Ti 1:4'Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.' I humbly asked him if I had been saying anything of a heretical nature at all, to which he said"No". I continued to spell out that in the case of that particular verse, it wasn't speaking to examining Scripture but to the false teaching and philosophy of Gnosticism, but he wouldn't have it. Let me ask, how can a 40 year preacher & worker in the Gospel, not understand and know about a thing that probably half the books of the New Testament discuss?
How can he understand and preach the Bible fully without knowing about a thing that was so influential in the New Testament church? And then how can the congregation hope to figure out these things and be able to interpret their Bible properly, if they're not told?
Let's us as instructors and preachers sew together the aspects of God's Word and His plan into a logical whole that our people can draw on for the rest of their lives, helping them to figure out God, His Eternal Plan, the function of the Church and ways to better interpret the Bible to model our lives by.
It is not difficult to do, and it's not boring if we are ready to put in a bit of effort prayer and fervor, and just possibly you can employ a Bible Timeline as well.
