A Bible Timeline Banner Offers A Creative Way To Aid And Help Teach Bible Events And Principles

In a Bible study years ago, one person who had been a Christian and laboured in the Church for over 15 years, made this statement,"Yes, but Abraham had the Law and so he understood about......" (they were not referring to the pre-mosaic law) I wonder just how many Christians will actually pick up the inaccuracy in this claim. Moses existed some 500 years after Abraham and so it is not possible. I have since then put together a Biblical chronological banner and shown more visually the chronology of people and occasions.

Why do we dwell on our pet themes and feel good preaching?
We instruct on a verse from Jude and a passage about John the Baptist and a topical from the book of Song of So lomon and then the faith of Isaac or the perseverance of Noah - bits from here and all over, but we do not put it all at once in a plain understandable, easy to remember, perspective with a decent Bible TimeLine with Church History as well. Constantly we are bombarded with new books, modernist ideas, some of them dangerously edging toward Liberal theology, but if we could be coached the fundamental principles of Church history, we then would not be so doomed to do the same again.
Let's us as teachers and preachers stitch together the fragments of God's Word and His plan into a seamless tapestry that our people can draw on for the rest of their lives, helping them to figure out God, His Eternal Plan, the role of the Church and how to better interpret the Bible to model our lives by.
It's not hard to do, and it's not boring if we are prepared to put in a bit of study with prayer and fervor, and just maybe you can employ a Bible Timeline as well.
