A Biblical Timeline Gives A Graphic Representation To Aid And Help Teach Biblical Events And Facts

In our weekly Bible class years ago, a woman who had been a Christian and laboured in the local Church for years, made this statement,"Yes, but Abraham had the Law and so he understood about......" (they weren't talking about the pre-mosaic law) I wonder how many Christians will really pick up the inaccuracy in this claim. Moses existed about five hundred years after Abraham and so it is impossible. I have since then put together a Biblical chronology chart and shown visually the time period of individuals and occasions.

Why do we dwell on our pet topics and sugar coated messages?
We preach on a verse from Hebrews and a passage about Hezekiah and a theme from the book of Revelation and then the faith of Abraham or the strength of Samson - pieces from here and everywhere, but we do not put it all at once in an apparent understandable, easy to remember, perspective with a capable Bible TimeLine and Church History as well. Constantly we are bombarded with new books, modernist ideas, a few of them hazardously leaning toward Progressive doctrine, but if we were to be coached the fundamental principles of Church history, we then would not be so bound to do the same again.
Let's us as teachers and preachers sew together the aspects of the Bible and His plan into a logical whole that our people can draw on for the remainder of their lives, helping them to figure out God, His Eternal Plan, the role of the Church and how to better interpret the Bible to live by.
It's not hard to do, and it's not boring if we are ready to put in a bit of study with prayer and fervor, and just possibly you can employ a Bible Timeline too.
